Reading: Decadent Acts
Summer's when everyone seems to take a little break—but not COTE!
On Monday, July 27 at 7 p.m., we'll present a staged reading of the new script from COTE Artistic Director Ashley Marinaccio, entitled Decadent Acts, at the Schaberle Theater, Pace University. Mark your calendars!
Call for Plays: Questionable Content 2009
***The deadline has passed - thanks to everyone who's submitted! We'll be announcing the plays for Questionable Content 2009 by July 22!***
Co-Op Theatre East is seeking new, never produced works for its second annual short play festival Questionable Content, to be performed in September ‘09.
All submissions should require small casts, be no more than 20 minutes in performance length, and fit the company’s mission statement: Co-Op Theatre East believes in the power of art to foster a dialogue for social change. We provide an entertaining performance forum in which to ask evocative, challenging questions of artists and audiences on our way to creating collaborative answers.
Deadline for submissions is June 15, 2009. To submit, please send a synopsis and copy of the script, along with your contact information and résumé, to COTEsubmissions@gmail.com. Plays without a synopsis will not be read. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Literary Director Casey Cleverly at casey@cooptheatreeast.org.
The 2008-09 Season is Over!
COTE's first season has come to a close!
By no means does that mean COTE's going to be sitting quietly for the next few months, however - our bi-monthly reading series COTE Tales will continue on June 7 at Kaffe 1668 in Tribeca.
At the same time, we're looking forward to summer, when we can further plan for 2009-10...watch for our Season Announcement soon!
Thanks to everyone who's helped us out this season - by working on a show with COTE, or by donating time or resources or money. But most especially: a huge thank you to everyone who's come out to join us for a performance. Without you, it'd be silly for us to make this stuff in the first place. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
